Searching and filtering user accounts

To make it easy to pinpoint the user accounts to update, an advanced search and filter page has been created. Since the import/export feature is a powerful feature, it is only available to users with a permission level of System Administrator.

To access the function, login to the Solution Center and select User Import/Export from the Administration menu.

When the page loads, two parts of the screen will be displayed. The top portion of the page displays the search/filtering options. The second part of the screen displays a list of the user accounts that meet the search criteria selected in the top portion of the page.

Search/filter options

The search/filter options allows the user to narrow down the list of user accounts that appear in the results grid. System administrators may filter the results based on permission levels, e-mail addresses, user names, first and/or last name, rep company, parent user or regional sales manager.

The options are additive and several options may be selected at the same time. For example, if the administrator wishes to filter the list to display only users with the rep, rep manager permission level from a specific rep company he or she may do so by clicking the appropriate check boxes and selecting the rep company from the options available as shown in the following example.

After selecting these options and clicking the Search button, the results grid will update and display only the users that meet the search criteria selected.

In addition to the user accounts, the grid will display the total number of user accounts that were found based on the filter options selected. In this example, 54 user accounts were located.

The user may edit any of the user accounts by clicking the Edit link at the far right-side of the grid. This will redirect the user to the user administration page as described in the help topic User Administration.

Also provided on the User Import/Export page are two buttons that allow the user to export user accounts to an Excel worksheet. For more information on Exporting user accounts to Excel view the help topic Exporting Accounts elsewhere in this document.
