With the release of CMSC 3.1.74, a new feature was added to the quotes worksheet that allows the representative to estimate multiplier and commission rates before submitting a quote to their regional sales manager for approval.

 

A new column named Hypothetical has been added to the edit view of the quote worksheet that the representative can use to estimate their multiplier and commission rates. See the figure below for an example.

 

 

Prior to submitting a quote to the regional sales manager the rep may enter values in the requested multiplier and/or requested commission text boxes in the Commission section of the quote page.

 

 

Once the rates have been entered click the button and the CMSC software will calculate the new weighted multiplier and weighted commission rates and update the values in the Hypothetical column. The rep may try as many multiplier and commission rates as they desire and once they have found the rates they desire they may submit the quote for approval to the regional sales manager as outlined in the section Requesting a Special Multiplier/Commission Rate. It is not necessary to fill in values for all the requested multiplier/requested commission categories. Any text boxes that are left blank will automatically use the values from the Published/Default Multiplier or Published Commission column respectively specific to the unit category.

 

Note! The requested commission text boxes will be disabled unless the transaction type drop down list box is set to Commission.
