Reopening Orders
If a representative submits an order to ClimateMaster using the process described in the section entitled Editing and Submitting an Order the order is flagged as being posted and is not able to be modified unless the representative reopens the order.
While the process of reopening an already submitted order is simple it should be noted that doing so generally incurs extra fees and costs from ClimateMaster due to the nature of the work required to make modifications to submitted orders.
To reopen an order locate the order through the project menu. View the order by clicking either the order name in the Equipment Schedule grid or by clicking on the magnifying glass in the Orders page.
When viewing the order you will notice that most of the buttons and properties of the order have been grayed out or disabled. If you scroll to the bottom of the order you will notice that the number of available buttons has been reduced. See the figure below.
To reopen the order click the button. You will be presented with a dialog box that informs you of the possible additional charges that you will incur if the order is reopened.
If you click the button the following actions will be taken.
The order will be reopened in the CMSC and will be modifiable by the representative
An additional Net Add will be added to the order with the following properties
oDescription – Reopen Order
oQty – 1
oPrice Ea. - $50.00
oSet-up Fee - $0.00
oTotal Net Add - $50.00
The rep will not be allowed to modify or delete the Net Add.
The Line Items section will be disabled.
A new section labeled Change Order Items will be added between the Line Items & Accessories and Optional Unit Tagging sections of the page.
Initially the Change Order Items grid will be empty. You will be able to make modifications to the order by adding items to this section. This process is detailed later in this chapter in the section titled Making Changes to a Reopened Order.
The Order Status drop down list in the Order Info section changes from New Order to Change Order.
The list of buttons at the bottom of the page change to show all the options that you would normally have on a new order.
If the button is clicked no action is taken and the order remains closed.
