Making Changes to a Reopened Order

After an order has been reopened all the properties of the order are modifiable with the exception of the Line Items section. This area is displayed but is locked to prevent changes from being made. If you wish to make modifications to any of the items in this sections you must do it in the Change Order Items section.

In the example that follows there is an order that contains three line items. The order has been submitted and reopened in order to change the quantity of the items ordered. Currently, the Line Items & Accessories and Change Order Items section look like the following figure.

In order to modify the quantity the user has to click the  button in the Change Order Items section. This displays a dialog box that looks similar to the following figure.

In the dialog box the details of the item to be changed have to be entered. In this case the line item with the order code TZH024BGD35BLTS needs to have a different quantity specified. The representative would fill in the details regarding the line item and then click the button. The following fields are required:

Model Changed -this represents the order code of the item being modified. (Maximum of 100 characters).

New Model - this represents the new order code (if the configuration of the line item is being changed. If not copy the order code from the Model Changed text box to the New Model text box. Maximum of 100 characters)

Detailed Description of Change – A note describing the reason or any other details about the change. (Maximum of 255 characters)

When complete the dialog should look similar to the following.

Once the change item has been saved the Change Order Items grid is updated and will look similar to the following figure.

If it becomes necessary to make modifications to the items in the change order item grid you can use the standard edit or delete buttons located at the far right side of the line item grid.

Additions, modifications and deletions made to the Change Order Items section are saved automatically and it is not necessary to click  at the bottom of the order unless you have made other modifications to the order.

Once you have made all the desired modifications to the line items, the order should be sent back to the engineering department so that they may evaluate the scope of the change items and adjust any pricing based on the changes you have requested.

After the engineering review process is complete the order will be sent back to you at which time it can be submitted to ClimateMaster for processing using the normal order submittal process described in the section titled Creating an Order from a Quote.
