Setting User Defaults Account Management.Setting User Defaults (350)
When a new project is created the project inherits the defaults set in the User Defaults section. This allows the project to be created using the most common settings for the user and saves the representative the time and effort of setting the defaults for each and every project.
It is important to note that changing the User Defaults does not retroactively change the settings for projects that already exist in the system. Changing the defaults will only affect new projects created after the changes are saved.
Project defaults that are set are set on a user-by-user basis. Changing your project defaults will not affect any other users of the system.
To modify your project defaults select User Defaults from the Administration menu. A page similar to the figure below will appear.
From here you may select the system of measurement desired (English or Metric). Users may set defaults used in the selection process such as:
•Altitude
•Fluid Type
•Antifreeze Percentages
•Pump Efficiency
•System Pressure
•Cooling EWT (Entering Water Temperature)
•Heating EWT
•Minimum Equipment EER
•Desired Flow Rate
Users may also select Cooling and Heating Tolerances to be used in the selection process. The tolerances tell the selection process how far out of range a unit can be and still be included in the selection process. If you find that you are receiving too many units during the selection process you may make the numbers in the tolerances section smaller. If you are not getting enough units then try making the numbers larger. Each section (Cooling and Heating Tolerances) have different values that can be set.
Cooling Tolerances
•Air Flow
•Total Capacity
•Sensible Capacity
•Leaving Air Dry Bulb
Heating Tolerances
•Air Flow
•Total Capacity
