If a user has forgotten their login password they have the option to have the system reset it. Assuming that the user enters a valid e-mail address and user account name the system will reset the password on their account and send an e-mail to their registered address with a link that allows them to reset their password. See the help topic Recover a Forgotten Password for more information on the password reset procedure. The user will also receive this e-mail message if the system administrator resets the user's password (see topic User Administration Functions) .

The user will receive an e-mail similar to the one shown below.

The user can then click the Reset My Password link and they will be directed to a page where they can enter a new password.
