Discontinued Models

Starting with ClimateMaster Solution Center version 3.3.40, discontinued or obsolete models are no longer able to be selected, quoted or ordered. The system allows administrators to set two distinct sets of dates; Selection Expiration Date and Order/Quote Expiration Date.

Selection Expiration Date

This date determines the date after which an item is no longer available for selection. Once this date passes, you will no longer be able to select or configure any models that have passed this date. If you have expired models on any of your project schedules, you will no longer be able to copy, move, add them to an existing quote or order, or create a new quote or order. If you attempt to perform any of these functions from the Equipment Schedule page you will receive a message similar to the following figure.

The message is informing you that some of the line items you are attempting to select have been discontinued and may no longer be selected. The message also displays a list of the discontinued models and their selection expiration date and order expiration date.

Even if the line item has been discontinued you are still able to modify its options such as pricing and accessories. Although you won't be able to add a discontinued item to a new or existing quote or order, you will be able to convert quotes or orders or submit existing orders to ClimateMaster up to the Order Expiration Date.

Order Expiration Date

This date determines the date after which an item is no longer available to be ordered from ClimateMaster. Once this date passes, you will no longer be able to convert a quote to an order or submit an order to the Business Center that contains discontinued items.

If you attempt to convert a quote or place an order that contains discontinued items you will receive a message similar to the following figure.

The message is informing you that some of the line items you are attempting to order have been discontinued. The message also displays a list of the discontinued models and their expiration dates. In order to submit your order or convert the quote to an order you will have to return to the project schedule and remove the discontinued item(s) from the quote or order.
