It is possible to export all the line items and accessories contained in a quote to an .XLS formatted file. This type of file is usually referred to as an Excel spreadsheet.

You have the option to export either the line item/accessory details or consolidated summary data. If you choose to export the details the system will create a spreadsheet with all the line items and accessories for your quote listed. If you export the summary a spreadsheet with a consolidated view will be generated instead.

Click either button to export the data from your quote.

Export options for creating CSV files

The system will automatically create and download to your computer a file with the same name as the number of the quote. For example if you are viewing quote # 11509 and click the  button a file named 11509.xls will be generated and downloaded to your computer.

Once you have located the file and opened it in Excel it will look similar to the figure below.

Depending on the version of Office, or other program you may be using to open the spreadsheet, you might receive a warning message similar to the one shown in the figure above. This is warning you to be careful when opening files downloaded from the Internet. If you wish to edit the file click the Enable Editing button. If you only want to view the information you can leave the sheet in protected view.
